  Allergy shots fact sheet

 

Prior to receiving your allergy injection, please notify us if within the last 24 hours you had any of the following: Wheezing, Fever, Rash, Diarrhea, Started on an antibiotic or new medication, or Received an injection from another Doctor or Dentist. Also, please remember to avoid strenuous exercise for 4 hours after an allergy injection.

GLADSTONE            WEDNESDAYS        9:00 AM - 12:00 NOON

                                    THURSDAYS             1:00 PM - 6:00 PM

LEES SUMMIT          MONDAYS                2:00 PM - 6:00 PM

                                     TUESDAYS               1:00 PM - 5:00 PM

                                     WEDNESDAYS       9:30 AM - 11:30 AM


Patients who are on allergy shots are required to have EPI-Pen  with them for at least four hours after the allergy shot to be able to self administer, in case an Anaphylactic reaction occurs.  Click on the above link to learn more about Epi Pen and Anaphylactic reaction and it's treatment.

If you would like to get your shots in a different office, please let the nurse giving you the allergy shot know so  she can get the antigen and the paperwork ready for you to take it with you.  If you have any questions please do not hesitate to call us at 816 525 8400
